Marili Gelardi has worked almost exclusively in the field of Medical Malpractice, defending physicians and medical institutions since the beginning of her career. She has tenaciously defended these clients in complex, high exposure claims, managing all stages of litigation from inception through trial. She has handled depositions of plaintiffs, insureds, and experts, and successfully prepared and argued motions before the court.
Having grown up in a family of lawyers and doctors, Ms. Gelardi brings a unique and personal approach to the defense of her clients, intuiting their needs and perspectives to ensure that they feel involved and heard in a process that could be daunting. Ms. Gelardi is meticulous when investigating and researching medical and legal issues to provide the best defense for her clients.
After graduating from Queens College in 2 ½ years, Ms. Gelardi attended the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. In her final year, Ms. Gelardi had one of her articles accepted for publication by the American Journal of Law & Medicine.
Marili has been admitted to practice in New York State, as well as in Federal Court, in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
