Jonathan I. Weinstein

Jonathan Weinstein joined the law firm of VLMM in 2011, where his primary responsibilities involve representing hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals mainly in medical malpractice matters.

Prior to attending law school, Jonathan attended undergraduate school at Cornell University where he majored in biology and The State University of New York in Buffalo where he earned an MD degree.  Prior to entering law school, and recognizing a critical need for such services after the attack on the World Trade Towers on September 11, 2001, Jonathan became a trainer in emergency preparedness and worked with medical groups, particularly those responsible for public health and emergency planning.  His decision to become a lawyer stemmed from his interest in combining medicine and law and out of recognition for the plethora of legal issues that grew out of the tragic events on 9/11.

In addition to his ongoing work as a trainer in emergency preparedness, Jonathan also is a continuing education instructor for medical groups, and for attorneys.  He has led numerous programs, such as CLE courses for attorneys, and CME accredited courses for pharmacists, physicians and medical groups.

Jonathan was born in New York City and grew up in Staten Island.  He lives in Duchess County, NY, with his wife and children.
