Evan Lyman joined VLMMR in 2018, and brought with him a wealth of experience and expertise in defending the health care profession against accusations of medical malpractice. He is particularly adept at defending actions which involve high-exposure allegations, such as wrongful death, brain damaged infants, surgery, oncology, critical care and emergency medicine – and on multiple occasions, has won dismissal of such cases outright. In addition to medical malpractice defense, Evan’s practice involves all aspects of civil litigation from inception through trial. He approaches each case with the sense of zealous advocacy our clients deserve.
Prior to joining VLMMR, Evan was an associate at a highly regarded medical malpractice defense firm in Manhattan, as well as an Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
Evan, who is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, as well as several Federal Courts, graduated from Yeshiva University in 2007, summa cum laude, and graduated from New York Law School in 2010 – where he earned a place on the Dean’s List. He resides in New Jersey with his wife and children.
