Anthony Bruno joined VLMMC in 2019 as a senior associate attorney practicing in the areas of general liability, professional liability and medical malpractice defense. He is an experienced litigator, after spending 11 years as a prosecutor in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
Anthony was born and raised in Queens, where he attended Archbishop Molloy High School. In 1999, he graduated from the prestigious S.I. Newhouse of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Upon graduating from Syracuse, Anthony began working as a paralegal at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. Experiencing firsthand the thrill of trial work, Anthony decided to attend law school and enrolled at St. John’s University School of Law.
While still working in the District Attorney’s Office, Anthony attended law school at night and excelled, earning awards for excellence in Contracts and in Criminal Trial Advocacy. Upon graduating from law school in 2008, he was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. While serving as a prosecutor, Anthony successfully handled thousands of cases from arrest to disposition. He was promoted to the elite Career Criminal Major Crimes Bureau where he prosecuted some of the most violent criminals in New York City.
